Shawn has extensive experience in music performance and education, and is one of the Internet’s most recognisable contemporary percussion teachers today. Between his first online lesson in 2008 and 2020, Shawn has taught thousands of students across Europe, South-East-Asia and more recently China, where his largest class had 945 people.
 

Shawn is a senior lecturer and the Academic and Examination Board member of Hitmaker Global Academy, an adjunct faculty member with Lasalle College of the Arts, National Institute of Education, Republic Polytechnic, and Singapore Media Academy.
 

Shawn holds a Master of Music from Boston University, Master of Digital Media from University of Newcastle Australia, an Honours degree in Audio Production from Middlesex University, and an ACTA qualification.
